Information About Your War Horse Mowing Service
REMINDER MESSAGES
You will receive a reminder message via SMS approximately 24 hours before we arrive. If you’d prefer a reminder sent via email, please let us know.
The message will incude an approximate arrival time. This is our best guess, not an exact time. Things may happen on the day which may cause us to arrive earlier or later than expected.
BEFORE WE ARRIVE
Please inform us if a dog will be in your yard.
Please attend to the following (if applicable):
- Remove padlocks from gates
- Ensure clear mower access to your backyard
- Remove toys, hoses, sprinklers, etc, from your lawn
- Pick up dog poo
- Put vehicles in your garage or park down the road. This eliminates the risk of damage to your vehicles. If you leave vehicles in your driveway or on the road in front of your house, we will not accept liability for any damage.
UPON ARRIVAL
Our standard procedure is to let ourselves into your yard as this minimises disruption to your day, and allows us to work efficiently (and therefore keep your prices low).
If you are home, you will know when we are on site as you will hear our equipment.
WET WEATHER PROCEDURES
We may arrive at a different time in wet weather – it may be much earlier or much later than our scheduled time.
If we can’t attend that day, we’ll inform you via SMS late afternoon about our plan to catch up.
If your yard is too soggy to mow, we’d appreciate an early morning SMS to let us know. We may mow in passing light rain.
We may also mow when the ground it wet to ensure all customers lawns are serviced.
INVOICING
An invoice will be emailed after your service is finished or on the next business day. Let us know if you prefer to receive invoices via SMS.
Payment is usually required within seven days. Check your invoice for your payment date and arrange prompt payment.
Our preferred payment method is bank transfer.
If you require more time to pay, please contact us on 0412 183 935 before your invoice due date.
For late payments, we reserve the right to pass on reasonable costs associated with obtaining payment for work you have engaged us to do. This includes, but is not limited to, engaging debt recovery specialists.
OUR WORK HOURS
We usually start mowing and gardening at 7:30am. During very hot weather, we may start at 7am.
Our mowing and gardening staff usually finish between 3-4pm.
We only work on week days. We don’t work on weekends or public holidays.
Our office (and therefore work phone) is usually open between 9am-3pm on work days. Our office staff work around family and other commitments, so may not be available to answer your call immediately. Please leave a message and they will return your call.
